Fawn — I have been reading your blog for months since I saw you speak at the NCA Conference. You continue  to surprise and cheer me every time I check in. One day, it’s motivational. The next day, it’s perspective. And today? It’s insane humor that makes me crack up. Thanks for your original take on the world. It’s great and I will keep following you. I hope they have you at the conference next year!

Fawn,
I am so grateful that I finally joined Face Book after months of invites from other friends, because I would have never gotten to know you other than for reading Mustang Sallies.  I want to share how your courage, strength, wisdom, lessons, positive mind, from the 2 books I’m reading of yours and your blog’s, is helping me to live thru another day, when it could be so easy to give up and just check out from all the fear and exhaustion that I feel inside! Your sharing is reminding me of who I am, and that I can still get through anything that comes my way, like I always have! It is so nice not be the teacher for now and being the student who is trying to grasp all that she can, in every way. You are teaching me how to get my business out there instead of marketing everyone else’s. Thank you, and thank you for the Blessings that your giving to me and to all that know’s you.

Namaste,
Leslie

Thank you so much for such an inspiring talk last week.   As a wife, mother of 2, careerwoman and local rockstar (I am a lead singer in a pop/rock band), I don’t have time for meaningless games, glass ceilings or being forced to be anyone other than myself.  However, with all the different hats I wear, it is easy to get lost in all the To Do’s.  Your words reminded me to ‘walk thru the open window’ even when others can’t or even worse, won’t and to leverage and share with others the talents I have been so blessed to have.

My company is a very intense place to work.  In fact, when we talk to our customers, we typically lead with the sales strategy and the handshake.  The relationships, if you’re lucky, come later.  At the Leadership Summit, it was refreshing to have an event where we led with relationships and with the knowledge that the sales cycles will now more easily follow.

btw – Imagine my delight when this wkend I sat down to read my latest PINK magazine and found the glowing review of you and your Mustang Sallies isordil book in the ‘books in the PINK’ section.  I don’t know which I was more excited about, the pride I felt on your behalf for being called out in a positive way or my own for getting to learn from your experience – live and in person!

Best of luck to you, Fawn.  Thank you for your time and inspiration.
Kerri T.

I think you hit a homerun last week!!!  I knew the first time I heard you speak that your message would be great for the women of Sherwin-Williams.  I can’t believe we had the weather we did but regardless, the session was a success.  I spoke to Tom Gilligan (VP of HR for Paint Stores Group) yesterday and he had just watched a video of the session and loved it.  I really hope that we get to work together again next year – I will be an advocate.
          You are an inspiration.

Your talk for our Women’s Council of Realtors Conference in Orlando was great and truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your time and for your advice to me about writing one page a day to get my book started.I have been doing just that since the conference. I am reading The New Women Rules now. The women and their stories are amazing! Never give up, never give in.

When you were speaking at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska last summer, I bought your 3 books. I have been reading excerpts from two of your books, but had not opened Mermaid Mambo. On January 1 this year, my dog I have had for 10 years died suddenly. I was feeling very sad and sorry. I was cleaning up a little bit and came across Mermaid Mambo. Opening to the middle of the book I started reading about where Ruby and Milt meet for the first time. The discussion of loss of a loved one and getting on with life in a positive way was just what I needed at that point in time. After awhile I started from the beginning of the book and I have recently finished the whole thing. It was great! Thank you so much for a great book.

I just wanted to reach out to you and again tell you how much I enjoyed
listening to you speak and I am going to check out your books.  You are a
terrific speaker and have so much passion for life.  One of the most
interesting moments for me was when you shared with us on how many powerful
woman had confidence issues. How can we as woman be as strong as we are and
still have so much doubt which is where I am in my life right now. :-)   but
I am a work in progress.

Fawn, I don’t know what to say except thanks for appearing in a moment when I desperately needed to hear your message. You are so right about what we need to do to make it through these times. Keep doing what you are doing. You are needed and you are loved.

Thank you for speaking at the NEW event in Charlotte yesterday.  My greatest learning from your lecture was that successful women typically have low self esteem.  It really struck a chord with me.  Outwardly, I have a tenacious spirit that is not afraid to make a mistake while absolutely refusing to give up.  However, secretly within a place deep inside of the corners of my soul, I am afraid that I’m just not good enough.  Having studied for years what I call the subtleties of what it is to be human; I recognize that any part of us that we alienate is at risk of detracting us from our true potential.  Until the moment that you spoke those words, I did not realize I had pushed that fear down so deeply that it would never have seen the light of day.  Now that conscious thought has brought it into the light, healing is possible.  Know that you have made a difference for me.  Thank you for being you.
 A.

I also want to recognize and thank the panel and Fawn. I have seen almost a ½ dozen NEW panels and this Panel was especially effective.  Fawn’s introduction was right on target with the moment, touching on the groups’ specific needs, the larger social conditions and focusing on hope.  The panel provided what the participants really came to hear – your stories and real experiences. Importantly the participants left with ideas on how they can apply these ideas to their daily lives.  So well done!  Thank you so much for sharing.
I can’t wait for your next event – it should really be a showstopper!!

Maria Edelson, VP, Procter & Gamble

Fawn-My husband, who also attended, said your talk was absolutely directed at me.  Tomorrow I will be resigning from my comfort zone job of 11 years and leaping into a new pportunity.  I am so looking forward to the new position but was fretting over the loss of the old.  No more!!!  You have motivated and pumped me up to move forward with no regrets!!!  So THANK YOU!!!

Ellen

I was truly delighted to see you as a speaker. Having attended three of the national meetings, I can’t think of NEW without your energizing remarks and incredible stage presence. For those who hadn’t heard you before, it was wonderful to listen to their comments following your speech. You had the audience in the palm of your hand!

Ruth

Fawn, we met the other day at the WCR luncheon. I don’t expect you to remember as you meet so many people. I was in the black outfit – hugged you – we briefly chatted about Jeffrey Gitomer…I wanted to let you know that I THOROUGHLY enjoyed your presentation, purchased all of your books and have listened to your CD two times and already finished The New Woman Rules. You are making a difference – and I thought you needed to know that. You can not put a price on making someone feel good or becoming inspired – and I want to humbly thank you for the proverbial kick in the ass. I agree, our life mission is to LIVE (everything else is static) – but to help guide people back to that simple thought is a gift.
Keep doing what you are doing sister, together we will conquer the world!
